Do you have secure parking?
Yes, we have parking for up to around 20 cars. This has a locked gate and CCTV.

Can I get there by public transport?
Our main site is not well served by public transport unfortunately. If you are not driving your own car we would recommend getting to our site by taxi.

What do I need to wear and what should I bring?
For all our experiences, we recommend that you check the relevant kit list attached to each activity and in your booking confirmation, to ensure you bring all the essentials you will need for the course.

Long trousers are recommended for better protection in the woods. Sturdy waterproof boots or shoes would also be highly advisable as you will be moving over rough ground.

Don’t forget your mugs for that all-important campfire brew!

Must there always be 2 adults?
To run our private experiences, we require a minimum of 2 adult tickets. If you wish to attend an experience and only have 1 adult but a number of children, then we ask that you book 2 adults places and the remaining child places. We also ask that you have at least 1 adult per 4 children.

Do you have toilets?
Kinda 🙂 Wild wees against the trees and from one hole to another. We do have a privacy tent though!

What if the weather is bad?
All our courses/experiences will go ahead in all weathers. We do have a very large dry space and teaching area along with tarps for you to sleep under. Our instructors will be living in the wilderness alongside you so they will keep you as comfortable as possible.

We may cancel/reschedule an experience if high winds are forecast due to safety or in case of a red weather warning.

How fit do I need to be?
This is very dependent on the experience. Our challenge grading system might help answer this for you. If you have any concerns give us a call to discuss. We are not running boot camps though!

Do you offer bespoke events?
In a word, yes. We have run bespoke training days and multi-day courses, as well as corporate family days for 40 guests and product launches for international footwear brands. If you can think it up we can generally make it happen for you. Give us a call to discuss your idea!

What is your instructor ratio?
We pride ourselves on quality training and this can only be done through instructor contact time and small groups.

Our courses are generally based on a 1:4 ratio with 2 instructors and one assistant instructor teaching throughout. James, our founder and lead instructor attends ALL experiences and training courses. He is assisted by Rick, our senior instructor. Matthew also assists and brings a huge amount to the table.

Can I bring a school group?
Yes, however this is generally for small groups up to 8 or so. Feel free to contact us to discuss a bespoke activity if you have something in mind.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Of course! If you are booking a course with food provided, let us know what you require and we will make it happen for you. Whether you are vegan, gluten free, have allergies or just just like a big portion, our camp kitchen and award winning chef (he awarded himself the award!) will cook you up a treat to keep you going through your experience.

Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome on all our private courses, all we ask is that you bring poo bags and anything else your dog will require.
We do not allow dogs to be left in cars or to attend our group courses.

We may ask your dog to leave if it steals biscuits or sausages.

What is your Alcohol and Drug policy?
For your own safety, we have a zero tolerance policy to alcohol or illegal drugs on our courses.

Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes we do! Just head to any experience page on our website and you will see an option for purchasing a gift voucher on the booking form. You can purchase a voucher to any value of your choice, and it will be sent by email. Voucher terms & conditions apply.
